a photo of my face quite close up

Probably about a year post injury:  my hair was still growing back in . . . this was at Brian(1) parents' house in Richfield . . . we were seeing each other for a week or two pre-injury and "drifted apart" "broke up" after my transfer to Sunnyview Rehab Hospital . . . we got back together the next summer and he moved in with me . . . The Great Drunken Summer of '85 . . . my step-mother Wanda moved out and my Dad and I partied . . . or was it:  my Dad and I partied affecting her decision to leave?  Both.  This was important in the context of self-sufficiency:  I needed to do things myself and had no choice when Wanda left.

 Letters from Brian(1):  7/5 - 8/4/85

a photo of me sitting in my wheelchair with a snake on my arm

Monty the ball python . . . ex-boyfriend Brian(2)'s snake . . . my first two boyfriends after my injury were both named Brian and had black curly hair . . . this is my second apartment . . . probably 1989 . . . I lived alone . . . I have a cast on my left arm because I had to have the metal plate removed as my body rejected it . . . when I fell my left arm had a nasty compound fracture . . . I still have the scar from where the bone popped out of my arm . . .

a scanned yearbook photo of Dominic painting a ceramic project. He wrote: I never did see your cunt but it must be delicious

1982 Cooperstown yearbook . . . Dominic was in seventh grade, I was a sophomore . . . another example of the assumed acceptability of referring to my sexuality / body parts:  quite crudely, no? . . . he was an interesting guy though:  wild . . . I got to know him much better when he was seeing my friend Brenda P. . . . at the time he was quite rambunctious and could be border-line mean . . . his Dad was a music teacher . . . I had moved away from Cooperstown before his younger brother Rico died and haven't seen or spoken to Dominic since probably 1985 . . .
