Back To: The
Tyranny of Materiality
A blurb from a pre-graduation publication . . . very interesting as I had no idea as to what I was going to do . . . I told people about the Air Force goal though never spoke to a recruiter . . . "It was an insane time."
October 1994 . . . Kathy and I . . . the first night of our reunion was hitting the bars night . . . this was bar two of three . . .
Kurt and I . . . I think this drink was a Purple Motherfucker, like a triple / quadruple shot . . . this is our second as whoever was taking pictures missed the first round . . . I don't really have to state the obvious but I will: we got pretty ripped . . . after hitting the Bold Dragoon [bar three] a bunch of us ended up going out onto the lake on some dude's pontoon boat . . . at that point I wasn't able to sit upright very well . . . the next day we discussed the fact that no one would let Kurt push my wheelchair out onto the very thin dock to get to the boat . . . it's a wonder that I didn't end up in the lake . . . after the boat excursion I went back to Kurt's to crash . . . it's another wonder that we made it up the stairs: Kurt was attempting to carry me slung over his shoulder like a fireman . . .
